Anderson, Laurie Halse. Speak. 10th Anniversary ed. New York: Speak, 2009.

This book is about a girl who goes through this traumatic experience when she was at a party one day. She loses her friends and when she goes back to school, she has to go through the trouble with her old friend. She has trouble speaking about the incident so she has to find a way to express her feelings through the class she has. This book is a good source for this project because I will be able to create a form of work from this book. I want to talk about the book and what I thought and felt about it.

Anderson, Laurie. Interview by Becca Rose. <http://hellogiggles.com/speak4rainn-an-interview-with-author-laurie-halse-anderson>.

This is website that has the interview with Laurie Anderson. In this interview the main topic is Speak and then it goes into other thing from her other book like rape and Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month. I’m not really sure how I would include this into my project, but I do know that I want to include this because it’s a pretty important interview. The things Laurie talks about and the things that happened to her shapes who the person she is today.

"Author Laurie Halse Anderson." Web. 12 Dec. 2013. <http://teenink.com/nonfiction/celebrity_interviews/article/230292/Author-Laurie-Halse-Anderson/>.

This website is an interview with Laurie Halse Anderson. In this interview, she answers questions that had to do with her book Speak and then about some personal things. This will help me in the process of my project because I could take the things she said and I could probably turn them into a form of poem about her.

Anderson, Laurie . Interview by Gretchen Haertsch. "Laurie Halse Anderson." Birth of a Novel. . . Web. 12 Dec 2013. http://birthofanovel.wordpress.com/conversations-with-authors/laurie-halse-anderson-talks-to-gretchen-haertsch/.

This is another one of Laurie’s interviews and she was interviewed by Gretchen Haertsch. In this interview, she talks mostly about her writing and what she likes to do with them and how she she feels about her work. This will be helpful for me in the future because it’s more information about Laurie and I would be able to expand more on what I know about her.

Anderson, Laurie. Interview by Lindsay Deutsch. "USA Today." Laurie Halse Anderson tackles alcoholism, PTSD in book. 12 Aug 2013. Aug . Print. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/books/2013/08/12/laurie-anderson-impossible-knife-of-memory-cover/2642905/.

This again is an interview that Laurie Halse Anderson had and in this interview she talks about how she relates to the books she’s written. The relation between them is that what she writes about are the things that happen to her as she was growing up. Overall, the whole interview talks about her book, The Impossible Knife of Memory and how she came about writing. The struggles she faced and like I said earlier how it relates to her.

In this website, it talks about the award that Laurie won in 2009. It also talks about other books she wrote and where they was published, and other things about them. This kind of information can help with something that could be for an informational video or newsletter.

"Biography Laurie Halse Anderson." Scholastic. N.p.. Web. 12 Dec 2013. <http://www.scholastic.com/teachers/contributor/laurie-halse-anderson>.

This website is a biography of Laurie Anderson, since it’s a biography, it will talk about her personal life like where she was born, where she grew up, and what she did as she was growing up. This biography will be very useful because knowing the background of the person I’m studying is very important. And I could possibly use the information that they give and turn it into some kind of work of my own.
