Being strong,

Being strong is when you get to say,

“I’m done with this!

I’m done being knocked down all the time.

I’m not going to let anything else get me down.”

 

 

Going thru the day,

Knocking all struggles to the ground,

Letting everyone hear you say,

“Hey! This is MY day!”

 

 

Being strong for those around you

Letting them know everything will be okay.

That yes things will get in the way,

Everyday there will be a challenge,

But you don’t let that challenge get to you.

You don’t let your failures define you.

You look struggle in the face and you tell him,

“You don’t run me anymore.”

 

 

Being strong doesn’t mean that you lose,

It only means that you know you’re not weak.

You wake up with a goal everyday.

You get to hear your parents say,

“I’m proud of you,

Keep doing what you’re doing,

Never let anything break you.”

 

 

You laugh at the sky,

Showing the world who you are.

“I am a strong proud woman

Who has looked struggle in the face and defeated  it.”

 

 

Being strong is for you and no one else.

Except who you are and don’t regret anything from your past.

Your past defines who you are today

 

Who you will be in the future

You except it because of your past

You are a strong woman.
